Adventure Ecology School is a program that
assists schools to develop as sustainable environmental
and social learning environments.
It’s a whole school approach, with
students at the centre of participation. The program outlines
how to bring about informed, mindful and positive choices
and actions that encourage respect and responsibility for
the Planet, other species and all people.
Through a set of pathways, schools develop
goals and objectives that lead to achievable actions and
changes within their own physical and learning environments.
These pathways inspire creativity, curiosity and critical
thinking, and focus on young people as active participants
in environmental and social sustainability.
As part of the program, schools receive accreditation,
certificates, rewards and are featured in the Adventure
Ecology Club as they complete pathways, in recognition of
their achievements, through the Green Star Rating.

The more young people learn, collaborate and share ideas,
exciting sustainability solutions will grow. We are all
part of a natural system that can’t be changed or
tamed to our liking. Rather, we need to learn how to manage
ourselves within nature’s systems. Whilst we live
in a world full of challenges, it is also a world full of
solutions – who better to implement them than us?
